Thought this might be fun and help out those who are new to making korkers. I am never completely happy with my korkers (luckily my customers are!). I tend to tie mine but every now and then try sewing them again to see if they look better, can't make up my mind!

I'm the same, I do it both ways, not sure what is better, depends on the mood I'm in and now many I have to do.

I started sewing my korkers but when making more than one at a time my fingers hurt. Tracey told me how she ties them and now I do the same. I find I get more of a snowball effect using the same amount of ribbon. Usually 4o - 42 pieces.

I've always sewn mine. What the tying technique like? Maybe I should give that a go.

I have attached a photo of my home made korker box.
Just place your cord (knitting nylon) across the cuts of the box and drop in your ribbon in the order you want it. Slowly pull the nylon ends together and tie off really tightly. For really small ones I still sometimes sew.
