Missed out on Fete/Fair

I have held a stall at our local school's Spring Fair for the last 3 years.......and this year I missed out.

I sent off my application form with my payment (via cheque) and waited for my response email showing where my stall will be located..same as every other year. However this year the email never arrived.

I rang the organiser yesterday (the fair is this saturday) and was told that my application & payment was never received.

After checking the bank statement ( I used a cheque from my husbands business) found that it had never been presented, so therefore they never received my application.

So I miss out on having a stall.........very disappointing, considering I have been crafting like crazy to get things done.

So my moral of this story is ........ never assume and follow up on everything, even if you think you are being a pest......call them, email them, border on harassment until you get your answer.

Oh and PS - don't take your husbands word that the cheque was presented (he obviously had a boy look). Have a look at the bank statement yourself!!!!!!
